Ubisoft Reportedly Crafting Their Next "AAAA" Game
Following the footsteps of Skull and Bones, Ubisoft might be on the verge of unveiling their next colossal project. This speculation stems from the LinkedIn profile of a Junior Sound Designer at Ubisoft Indian Studios, as highlighted by X (formerly Twitter) user Timur222. The designer, who has been part of Ubisoft for a year and 10 months, shared an intriguing job description:
"Responsible for creating Sound design, SFX, and foley for the unannounced AAA and AAAA game projects," the profile states under the Experience section.
While specifics of this new project remain shrouded in mystery, the mention of AAAA projects alongside AAA ones is noteworthy. The term "quadruple-A" was first used by Ubisoft's CEO, Yves Guillemot, during the launch of the pirate-themed Skull and Bones, to underline the game's hefty budget and the extensive development cycle it endured. Despite its AAAA status, Skull and Bones garnered mixed reviews.
Ubisoft's drive to produce more quadruple-A titles seems undeterred, hinting that their future releases may mirror Skull and Bones in terms of scale and investment.
