Understanding Mudras:
Mudra, a Sanskrit term, signifies posture or pose. It literally translates to "joy-producing," reflecting its ability to foster happiness and well-being. Originating in Hinduism and Buddhism, Mudras are employed in various practices, including Bharatanatyam (200 Mudras), Mohiniattam (250 Mudras), and Tantric rituals (108 Mudras). Essentially, they are a nonverbal language of self-expression through hand gestures and finger positions.
Mudras engage the entire body, acting like a closed electrical circuit that channels energy.
