Marvel Rivals Competitive Rank Reset: A Comprehensive Guide
Marvel Rivals, the free-to-play Marvel-themed PvP hero shooter, features a competitive mode with a seasonal rank reset. This guide explains the rank reset mechanics, timing, rank tiers, and season duration.
Competitive Rank Reset Mechanics
At the end of each season, your competitive rank decreases by seven tiers. For example, ending a season at Diamond I means starting the next at Gold II. Players at Bronze III, the lowest rank, remain there after the reset.
Rank Reset Timing
The rank reset occurs at the conclusion of each season. While Season 0 had a shorter duration, subsequent seasons are expected to last approximately three months.
Marvel Rivals Rank Tiers
Competitive mode unlocks at player level 10. Reaching the next tier requires accumulating 100 competitive points. The rank tiers are:
Bronze (III-I) Silver (III-I) Gold (III-I) Platinum (III-I) Diamond (III-I) Grandmaster (III-I) Eternity One Above All (Top 500 Leaderboard)
Progress beyond Grandmaster I continues to earn points towards Eternity and One Above All. One Above All requires a top 500 leaderboard placement.
Season Duration
While Season 0 was shorter, future seasons are anticipated to span approximately three months. New seasons introduce new heroes (e.g., Fantastic Four) and maps. The extended season length provides more time to climb the ranks.
