Reaching Bloodmoon Island in Divinity: Original Sin 2: Two Proven Methods
Bloodmoon Island, shrouded in Deathfog and with its connecting bridge destroyed, presents a significant obstacle in Divinity: Original Sin 2. This guide outlines two reliable methods to overcome this challenge and access the island's quests and storyline advancements.
Method 1: The Spirit Bridge
The remains of the bridge, northeast of Cloisterwood (near Jahan and Witch Alice), are visible. Using Spirit Vision reveals the broken pathways. Several options exist for crossing:
-
Gloves of Teleportation: These allow teleporting each party member individually across the gaps.
-
Translocation Skills: Skills like Phoenix Dive, Cloak and Dagger, or Tactical Retreat enable teleporting, but require party members possessing these abilities.
-
Teleporter Pyramids: Two pyramids are needed. One companion uses translocation to reach the other side, placing a pyramid. The rest of the party then teleports to the placed pyramid.
-
Fast Travel: A companion with a translocation skill reaches the island, activates the waypoint, allowing the rest to fast travel.
Method 2: The Undead Ferry
Located northwest of Cloisterwood is a pier with an undead ferryman. This method is particularly effective with Fane in your party.
-
Fane's Immunity: As an undead, Fane is immune to Deathfog. He can take the ferry alone, reach Bloodmoon Island, activate the waypoint, and allow the rest of the party to fast travel.
-
Without Fane: If Fane isn't in your party, use two Teleporter Pyramids. One companion takes the ferry (dying upon arrival), the second pyramid is used to teleport the rest to the deceased companion, who is then resurrected. This is less efficient than the bridge method.
Caution: Avoid attacking the Undead Ferryman unless prepared. He retaliates with a potentially lethal Deathfog spell. A quick save is recommended before engaging him. Defeating him yields a Soothing Cold skillbook, a belt, and 3,750 XP. The bridge method is generally faster and safer for parties without Fane.
