A Regular Stream of Diverse AC Experiences

Assassin's Creed Remakes Hope to Modernize Classic EntriesGuillemot's interview revealed plans for several Assassin's Creed remakes, though specific titles remain undisclosed. He stated, "We're excited to revisit some past games and give them a modern update; some of our older Assassin's Creed worlds are incredibly rich and deserve a fresh look." This suggests a revitalization of classic entries.

Beyond remakes, Guillemot promised a diverse range of experiences in the coming years. He explained, "We aim for more frequent Assassin's Creed releases, but each will offer a unique gameplay experience."

Assassin's Creed Remakes Hope to Modernize Classic EntriesUpcoming titles like Assassin's Creed Hexe (targeting a 2026 release) and Assassin's Creed Shadows (releasing November 15, 2024) exemplify this commitment to variety. Hexe is set in 16th-century Europe, while the mobile title, Assassin's Creed Jade, is slated for a 2025 launch. Assassin's Creed Shadows takes players to feudal Japan.

Ubisoft's history of remastering classic titles, including Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection (2016) and Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered (2018), supports this new initiative. While rumors of an Assassin's Creed Black Flag remake circulated last year, official confirmation is still pending.

Embracing Generative AI

He highlighted Assassin's Creed Shadows' dynamic weather system, impacting gameplay significantly, and substantial visual enhancements. He further emphasized the potential of generative AI to enrich game worlds.

Guillemot stated, "Technological advancements are creating endless possibilities. Assassin's Creed Shadows, for instance, features a weather system affecting gameplay – previously swimmable ponds might freeze."

He continued, "Visually, the series is making a huge leap forward. I believe generative AI can greatly enhance NPCs, making them more intelligent and interactive. This could extend to animals and the environment itself, creating even more dynamic open worlds."
