Smite 2's Open Beta Launch: January 14th, 2025
Get ready! Smite 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the popular MOBA, launches its free-to-play open beta on January 14th, 2025. This marks a significant milestone for the Unreal Engine 5-powered game, which entered alpha in 2024.
This open beta will introduce a wealth of new content, including:

Aladdin: The first God from the Tales of Arabia pantheon, debuting alongside the beta. This Magical Assassin and Jungler boasts unique abilities like wall-running and enemy trapping.

Returning Favorites: Popular Gods from the original Smite, such as Mulan, Geb, Ullr, and Agni, are making a comeback with updated skill sets.

Expanded Roster: The God roster will expand to nearly 50 by the end of January 2025, offering a diverse range of mythological figures.

New Game Modes: Experience Joust (3v3) and Duel (1v1), featuring a new Arthurian-themed map with teleporters and stealth grass.

Aspects System: This innovative feature allows players to trade a God's ability for a powerful boon, adding strategic depth to gameplay. Initially, 20 of the 45 Gods will feature Aspects.

Quality-of-Life Improvements: Expect enhanced features such as Role Guides, improved in-game messaging, PC text chat, item store upgrades, and detailed death recaps.
The open beta will also feature a significant portion of the game's planned 45 Gods, and more will be added post-launch. The first Smite 2 esports tournament finale will take place at the HyperX Arena in Las Vegas from January 17th-19th.
