Just Like A Phoenix! Supercell Announces Project R.I.S.E. From The Ashes Of Clash Heroes

Finnish game developer Supercell has surprised fans with a twist on their cancelled RPG, Clash Heroes. Instead of abandoning the project entirely, they've announced a revamped version: Project R.I.S.E.

The Full Story

Clash Heroes is officially cancelled, confirming earlier rumours. However, Supercell is giving it a new life as Project R.I.S.E., a social action RPG roguelite within the Clash universe.

Supercell's announcement video features game lead Julien Le Cadre, who stated frankly that Clash Heroes is dead, but Project R.I.S.E. is a multiplayer-focused action RPG.

For more details, watch the announcement video:

Project R.I.S.E. shares some similarities with Clash Heroes but is a completely new game. It's a social action RPG roguelite where players team up (three-player squads) to ascend The Tower, a mysterious location. Each floor presents a new challenge, and the aim is to reach the highest level possible. Unlike its predecessor, the focus is on cooperative gameplay with diverse characters, instead of solo PvE dungeon crawling.

Currently in pre-alpha, Project R.I.S.E. is slated for its first playtest in early July 2024. Registration for a chance to participate is open on the official website.
