Conquer Shuyu's Baffling Beetle Battle Bowl in Genshin Impact 5.3!

This guide provides a straightforward walkthrough for completing all five battles in Genshin Impact's limited-time Shuyu's Baffling Beetle Battle Bowl event.

Event Requirements:

  • Adventure Rank 20 or higher.
  • Completion of the Mondstadt Archon Quest Prologue. While not mandatory, completing Xianyun's Story Quest "Grus Serena Chapter" adds context to the event's narrative.

Gameplay Mechanics:

The event involves controlling an Onikabuto beetle in simulated battles against various enemies within a Teapot at Mt. Aocang. Controls are simple: Forward, Backward, and Jump. Careful stamina management is key, as movement and attacks consume stamina. Utilize Piercing Strikes (by holding the attack button) for increased damage.

Battle Strategies:

Here's a breakdown of each battle and recommended strategies:

  • "Staff Master Who Only Uses Basic Horizontal Sweeps": A standard Hilichurl. Focus attacks on its head, and watch for ground markings indicating its attack range.
  • "Staff Master Who Waves a Torch About Non-Stop": A Hilichurl Berserker with a Pyro Slime. Target its head and the Pyro Slime, particularly when it's preparing to throw it.
  • "Mumbly-Bumbly Red-Hot Mage": A Pyro Abyss Mage. Interrupt its fire spell casting, then attack repeatedly. Watch out for its fireballs and flame pillars.
  • "Bouncy, Energetic Mage Who’s Actually Freezing Cold": A Cryo Abyss Mage. Employ the same strategy as the Pyro Abyss Mage.
  • "Big Guy Said to be Solid as a Mini Mountain": A Stonehide Lawachurl. Attack quickly, dodging its attacks. A Geo Slime will appear; use a Piercing Strike for maximum damage.
