Path of Exile 2: A Comprehensive Guide to Delirium Endgame Events

Path of Exile 2 features four major endgame Atlas map events: Rituals, Breaches, Expeditions, and Delirium. This guide focuses on Delirium, a returning mechanic from previous PoE leagues, explaining how to initiate events, navigate the encounter, utilize the passive skill tree, and maximize rewards.

Understanding the Delirium Fog Mechanic

On the Atlas, Delirium Mirror map nodes are marked with a distinctive black and white icon. Guaranteeing a Delirium event requires placing a Delirium Precursor Tablet in a Lost Tower.

Within a Delirium map, locate the multicolored Delirium Mirror near your spawn. Activating it unleashes a moving circle of Fog. The Fog's difficulty increases with progression; leaving the Fog ends the encounter.

Enemies within the Fog are enhanced and drop valuable rewards: Distilled Emotions (used in crafting) and Simulacrum Splinters (for summoning the Pinnacle Boss). Fractured Mirrors within the Fog spawn additional mobs and loot.

Random boss encounters with Kosis and Omniphobia may occur; these are challenging bosses, not just rare enemies. They can also appear during the Pinnacle event.

The Simulacrum Pinnacle Event

Every endgame event offers a Pinnacle Boss. Delirium's Pinnacle, the Simulacrum, requires 300 Simulacrum Splinters, obtainable at higher Waystone tiers. Combine the splinters to create a Simulacrum and place it in the Realmgate.

The Simulacrum is a 15-wave encounter with increasing difficulty. Delirium bosses have a higher chance of spawning in later waves. Completion rewards two Delirium Passive Skill points.

The Delirium Passive Skill Tree

Located on the Atlas Passive Skill Tree (top-right), the Delirium Passive Skill Tree (distinguished by its white coloration) modifies Delirium events. It features eight Notable nodes and eight nodes increasing Simulacrum difficulty.

Each Simulacrum completion grants two passive points, necessitating increased difficulty for each new Notable node.

Notable Delirium Passive Nodes:

Notable Delirium Passive Effect Requirements
Get Out Of My Head! 20% chance for Waystones to have an Instilled Emotion effect N/A
Would You Like To See My Face? Doubles Fog difficulty scaling, but doubles Splinter stack size Get Out Of My Head!
You Can't Just Wake Up From This One Delirium Fog dissipates 30% slower N/A
I'm Not Afraid Of You! Delirium Bosses have 50% increased Life, but drop 50% more Splinters You Can't Just Wake Up From This One
They're Coming To Get You... Unique Bosses spawn 25% more often; slaying rares pauses Fog dissipation (4s) N/A
Isn't It Tempting? 30% chance for an extra reward, but Delirium Demons deal 30% increased Damage N/A
The Mirrors... The Mirrors! Delirium Fog spawns Fractured Mirrors twice as often N/A
It's Not Real, It's Not Real! Delirium enemies drop 50% more reward progress, but Fog dissipates 50% faster N/A

Prioritize "You Can't Just Wake Up From This One," "Get Out Of My Head!," and "They're Coming To Get You" for optimal reward increases without significant drawbacks.

Delirium Rewards

Delirium Fog-affected enemies drop Distilled Emotions. Bosses also frequently drop them. These Currencies anoint amulets with Notable Passive Skills, avoiding passive point expenditure.

Distilled Emotions also add guaranteed modifiers to Waystones, increasing Delirious debuff and mob power. Simulacrum Splinters, also dropped by enemies, create the Simulacrum for the Pinnacle event, rewarding passive points and a guaranteed unique item.

All PoE 2 Distilled Emotions:

Distilled Ire Distilled Guilt Distilled Greed Distilled Paranoia Distilled Envy Distilled Disgust Distilled Despair Distilled Fear Distilled Suffering Distilled Isolation

Mastering the Delirium encounter requires understanding its mechanics and strategically utilizing the passive skill tree for maximum rewards.
