1) Grid Size

Set the exact number of columns and rows, from 3 to 20. Create non-square grids like 12x15.

2) Gameplay Difficulty

Control how many words are placed diagonally, backwards, or vertically. You can even disable diagonal or backward words entirely.

3) Word Difficulty

Select the dictionary size, ranging from the 500 most common words (ideal for learners) up to 80,000 words.

4) Maximum Number of Words

Set the word count per game from 1 to 150—enough to fill even a 20x20 grid.

5) Minimum & Maximum Word Length

Avoid cluttered searches for too many short words, a common app flaw. Also perfect for creating tough challenges, like setting both min and max length to three letters.

6) Highlighting

Choose to highlight found words or keep the grid clean and easy to read.

7) Word List Layout

Display the word list in neat columns or spread evenly across your screen.

8) Language

Pick the word list language from a wide selection of downloadable dictionaries. Currently 36 languages are supported.

9) Orientation

Play in portrait or landscape mode. The display adapts automatically when you rotate your device.

Each game is rated on a difficulty scale from 0 (easiest) to 9 (hardest), based on your settings. High scores (fastest completion times) are tracked separately for each level, with the top 20 scores displayed.

2) Get help if you're stuck: reveal a single word you can't find.

3) View word definitions from an online dictionary (requires internet).
