Sword of Justice Officially Announced: Global Pre-Registration Now Live
- This Wuxia-inspired MMORPG delivers ambitious graphical and gameplay features
- Features include ray-traced visuals, AI-driven NPCs, and dynamic martial arts combat
Following NetEase's recent wave of announcements—such as Sea of Remnants and Destiny: Rising opening global pre-registrations—it might come as a surprise to discover they have one more major title in the pipeline. That title is Sword of Justice, their highly anticipated Chinese fantasy MMORPG, which has now officially launched global pre-registration across all platforms.
Set against the backdrop of late 12th-century China during the Northern Song Dynasty, Sword of Justice blends historical accuracy with fantastical elements to craft a unique experience. Drawing inspiration from the iconic Wuxia genre, the game focuses on intense martial arts battles and expansive views of both natural landscapes and sprawling urban centers.
Beyond its setting, Sword of Justice aims to push the boundaries of what an MMORPG can achieve. NetEase has collaborated with Nvidia to implement ray-tracing technology alongside a patented dynamic weather system. This combination promises stunning visual fidelity while maintaining strong performance optimization.
AI-Driven Interactions
Perhaps even more impressive—and controversial—is the game's advanced NPC AI system. Gone are the days of repetitive, canned dialogue; powered by Deepseek and NetEase’s proprietary AI, NPCs will remember player actions, respond organically to interactions, and exhibit distinct personalities and identities. There is much more to explore regarding what NetEase has promised. The game features cinematic Wuxia sword fights designed to run smoothly without compromising frame rates. Players can engage in cooperative gameplay through various social systems, including Romantic Bonds, Mentorships, Sworn Brotherhoods, and Guild Alliances. Additionally, the developers have committed to a "No Pay-to-Win" model.
If delivered as promised, Sword of Justice could set a new benchmark for the gaming industry. However, with its global launch still some time away, players seeking immediate entertainment might want to explore our list of the top five new mobile games worth trying this week.
