HoYoverse's mobile hit, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market performance. The recent 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing even its launch day revenue in July 2024.
According to AppMagic, Zenless Zone Zero's cumulative mobile revenue has now exceeded $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters like Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa (the latter offered free to all players as a promotional incentive), alongside enhanced game mechanics, new areas, and game modes. The Hoshimi Miyabi banner was particularly instrumental in driving this record revenue.
Remarkably, the 1.4 update sustained player engagement far beyond typical post-update trends. While spending usually dips significantly within a week, Zenless Zone Zero maintained daily revenues above $1 million for over 11 consecutive days, and even surpassed $500,000 per day two weeks after the update's release.
While a significant achievement, Zenless Zone Zero's performance still lags behind HoYoverse's other flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
