"Warzone Mobile Shuts Down: Call of Duty's End"

Authore: AaliyahUpdate:May 22,2025

After just under a year on the market, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is coming to an end. Activision has announced that the mobile version of the popular battle royale game will no longer receive seasonal updates or new content. As of May 18th, the game has been removed from both the App Store and Google Play Store. Real-money purchases are now disabled, and anyone who hasn't installed the app by the cutoff date will no longer be able to access it.

This abrupt conclusion marks the end of a high-profile mobile launch that sought to deliver the complete Warzone experience to mobile users. Despite the studio's pride in how closely the mobile version mirrored the original Warzone on handheld devices, it seems the game did not resonate with mobile gamers as effectively as it did with PC and console players.

If you have the game installed, you can continue to play online after May 19th. Matchmaking and online play will remain active for the time being, though social features will be turned off, and there’s no confirmed date yet for when the servers might shut down completely. The in-game store will stay open for those with existing COD Points, but no new purchases can be made.

Call of Duty: Warzone MobileAs a gesture of goodwill, players with remaining COD Points can transfer them to Call of Duty: Mobile. This redemption period is available until August 15th. By logging into Call of Duty: Mobile with the same Activision account, you'll receive double the value of your unused Warzone Mobile COD Points, plus additional rewards.

For those who haven't installed or reinstalled the game by May 19th, this is your final opportunity. After that date, no refunds will be issued, and access to the game will be permanently lost. This marks a disappointing end to what was promoted as a significant expansion of the Warzone universe, serving as a stark reminder that even the biggest franchises can struggle to maintain long-term success on mobile platforms.
