While World of Warcraft's 20th Anniversary event has concluded, exciting in-game activities continue, bridging the gap until Patch 11.1's release. The return of the Turbulent Timeways event offers players a unique challenge and rewarding experience. This event features a special reward attainable by accumulating the Mastery of Timeways buff.
Turbulent Timeways Event Details
Unlike the typical staggered Timewalking events, Turbulent Timeways packs five consecutive Timewalking event weeks from January 1st to February 25th. Each week highlights Timewalking dungeons from various expansions:
- Week 1: Mists of Pandaria (January 7th-14th)
- Week 2: Warlords of Draenor (January 14th-21st)
- Week 3: Legion (January 21st-28th)
- Week 4: Classic (January 28th-February 4th)
- Week 5: The Burning Crusade (February 4th-11th)
- Week 6: Wrath of the Lich King (February 11th-18th)
- Week 7: Cataclysm (February 18th-25th)
Completing a Timewalking dungeon awards a stack of the "Knowledge of Timeways" buff. This two-hour buff (persisting through death) grants a 5% experience bonus from quests and monster kills. Four stacks upgrade to the "Mastery of Timeways" buff, providing a 30% experience bonus (also lasting three hours and persisting through death). Completing another Timewalking dungeon refreshes the buff timer for both buffs.
To achieve Mastery of Timeways, maintain four stacks of Knowledge of Timeways without letting them expire. Avoid extended AFK periods to prevent stack loss. Expiration before reaching four stacks requires restarting the process.
Turbulent Timeways Rewards
Beyond the leveling benefits, Turbulent Timeways offers enticing rewards. The Sandy Shalewing mount, a returning reward from the Dragonflight event, is available from Timewalking Vendors for 5,000 Timewarped Badges.
A new mount, the Timely Buzzbee, awaits players who obtain the Mastery of Timeways buff across five of the seven event weeks.
