World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Seven Weeks of Turbulent Timeways!
World of Warcraft players are in for a treat! The Turbulent Timeways event is back, and this time it's even bigger, offering seven consecutive weeks of Timewalking campaigns running until February 24th. Get ready for a whirlwind tour through WoW's history, earning fantastic rewards along the way.
This extended event builds upon the popular five-week run from September 2023. Players can once again earn Timewarped Badges, a significant experience buff, and new rewards. The key is the stackable Mastery of Timeways buff; completing four Timewalking dungeons unlocks a 20% experience boost.
This time around, the adventure spans seven weeks, each featuring a different Timewalking expansion, starting with Mists of Pandaria on January 7th and culminating with Cataclysm the week of February 18th. All the usual Timewalking activities—quests, dungeons, raids—return, along with the Mastery of Timeways buff.

- January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
- January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
- January 21-27: Legion
- January 28-February 3: Classic
- February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
- February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
- February 18-24: Cataclysm
Rewards Galore!
Achieve Mastery of Timeways in five out of the seven weeks to unlock the Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2 achievement and claim the coveted Timely Buzzbee mount! Timewalking vendors across all expansions boast new permanent items, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor. Plus, the Sandy Shalewing pet, previously available only during the initial Turbulent Timeways event, makes a comeback. And, for the duration of the event, completing the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest rewards Heroic gear!
Looking Ahead:
With the recent 20th-anniversary event's 11 weeks of Timewalking already under our belts, this adds up to a whopping 18 consecutive weeks of Timewalking action! The Turbulent Timeways event's February 24th conclusion also hints at future plans. Considering WoW's typical release schedule and the holiday season, February 25th is a strong contender for the launch of Patch 11.1, Undermined, ten weeks after Patch 11.0.7. Coupled with Plunderstorm's second run and The War Within's upcoming update, World of Warcraft is set for a thrilling start to 2025.
