Five characters dominate the S-tier in Tribe Nine, with Tsuruko Semba arguably the best. Her support abilities, coupled with significant damage output and the game-changing "Invigorating Surge" ultimate (buffing the entire party while attacking), make her incredibly versatile. Her smooth movement also enhances her offensive capabilities.

Miu Jujo, an attacker, excels with her Luminous Crystals, dealing consistent damage over time (DoT) within their radius. Her high speed allows for easy evasion, solidifying her as a top damage dealer.

Q, a tank, boasts high Break Ability and powerful attacks. His Fighting Will stacks significantly increase his damage, making him a formidable asset, especially when paired with Tsuruko Semba and an attacker.

Despite being a 2-star unit, Minami Oi provides excellent healing, supported by a versatile drone that seamlessly switches between healing and aggressive modes. This hybrid DPS role adds significant damage, making her easy to use, particularly for newer players, thanks to her ranged attacks.

Enoki Yukigaya, another exceptional attacker, utilizes Heat stacks gained through combos and counterattacks to unleash devastating special attacks.

Eiji Todoroki, an A-tier attacker, combines strong offensive skills with sustain abilities. His "Brilliant Me!" skill reduces damage taken by 25% while "My Turn to Shine!" is active, crucial for mitigating focused enemy attacks.

Jio Takinogawa is a solid tank option, taunting enemies and reducing incoming damage, although his damage output is limited. A reliable choice, especially for beginners.

Yo Kuronaka, the protagonist, possesses high Break Ability, but his less fluid moveset might feel awkward to some. While his damage isn't as high as S-tier units, he remains a viable option.

B-Tier

Tier B Tribe Nine characters.

Roku Saigo and Koishi Kohinata represent the B-tier. Roku is a decent Fighter with average damage, lacking standout features. Koishi, a free starting Healer, is acceptable for early game but should be replaced with a stronger healer when available.

C-Tier

C Rank units.

Yutaka Gotanda, Tsuki Iroha, and Hyakuichitaro Senju are usable in early to mid-game but lack the power to excel in the late game. Tsuki Iroha is a free unit, but Koishi Kohinata is a better early investment. Gotanda is a passable Tank, and Senju an average damage dealer.

This tier list reflects the current meta; new character releases may necessitate updates. Ultimately, personal preference plays a role in team building.

Tribe Nine is available on Android, iOS, and PC.
