At a more affordable price compared to the Alienware and Asus 4K OLED offerings, it’s a smart choice. Its glossy coating fully immerses you when connected to a gaming PC. It includes two HDMI 2.1 ports and a DisplayPort 1.4 connection, as well as USB-C.
Brightness is often a concern with gaming monitors, but not with this one. With 1,000 nits, it's bright, thin, and visually stunning, with a distinct 'gamer' aesthetic.
Not all gaming PCs can handle a 4K monitor at 240Hz. However, this shouldn't deter you. The Gigabyte FO32U2 Pro is future-proof, ensuring longevity despite the initial investment.
Even if you're not gaming, the Gigabyte FO32U2 Pro’s OLED panel supports up to 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, providing accurate color representation for creatives. Whether gaming, designing, or watching movies, the colors pop like never before.
There’s an array of HDR modes to choose from, which can be overwhelming, but once properly configured, the monitor looks excellent. Gigabyte also includes features like picture-in-picture and an automatic black equalizer for finer tuning. If you can spend a bit over $1,000 on one of the best OLED monitors available, the Gigabyte FO32U2 Pro should be your top choice.

10The Alienware AW3423DW combines the beauty of OLED with an ultrawide display, enhancing your game view while making it more beautifulSee it at AmazonProduct SpecificationsSize34”Pixel TypeQD-OLEDResolution3,440 x 1,440Max Refresh Rate175HzVRRYesHDR10YesPROSUltrawide displayDeep blacksCONSLack of HDMI 2.1Packing Quantum Dot technology in its OLED panel, my review of the Alienware AW3423DW shows why it’s one of the best ultrawide monitors on the market. Quantum Dots enhance colors and luminance atop the already spectacular contrast and dynamic range. The blacks are truly black, retaining detail in shadowy scenes, while the display shines with up to 1000-nit peak brightness in HDR. However, at only 250-nit peak brightness in SDR, it may appear dim in brightly lit rooms.
Its color performance is outstanding, covering 99.3% of the DCI-P3 color spectrum, and sRGB was topped out in our tests. Our testing unit came well-calibrated, ensuring stunning, true-to-life colors straight out of the box. Beyond games looking exactly as intended, the Alienware AW3423DW is a great option for creatives.
Given its ultrawide format for extra screen real estate, the resolution is a bit unconventional at 3,440 x 1,440. Yet, this 34-inch display sits between 1440p and 4K, offering sharp details and solid picture quality. That resolution, coupled with the 1800R curvature, wraps around your field of view without distortion, creating an immersive gaming experience.
The Alienware AW3423DW features a speedy 175Hz refresh rate, provided your GPU can handle it. Even if you can't consistently reach 175 fps, this monitor supports G-Sync Ultimate to eliminate screen tearing. The 0.1 ms GtG response time is also exceptionally fast, making this display perfect for competitive esports players.
The biggest disappointment is its I/O panel. Despite offering multiple USBs, HDMIs, and a DisplayPort, it only supports HDMI 2.0, limiting console gaming to 60Hz rather than the 120Hz current-gen consoles are capable of. Still, it remains a worthwhile Alienware gaming monitor.

Boasting a jaw-dropping 32:9 aspect ratio and a pixel-packed 5,120 x 1,440 resolution, this monitor delivers crisp visuals and vibrant colors thanks to its Samsung QD-OLED panel tech. This technology combines OLED with Quantum Dot technology from the best TVs, limiting display sensitivity to image burn-in while delivering deeper colors. Coupled with a blazing-fast 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time, it's a perfect fit for gamers of all types, provided you can afford it.
You can plug two display cables into the back, and it'll act as two 1440p monitors, ideal if your game doesn't support such a wide aspect ratio or if you need Discord open while gaming. Used as a single display, it offers one of the most immersive gaming experiences of the year.
Its sleek, modern design and glossy panel coating enhance contrast, making it the centerpiece of any gaming setup. The Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 G93SC is undeniably the best large OLED monitor on the market, delivering unparalleled gaming and viewing experiences. As a follow-up to the LG UltraGear 27GR95QE-B, it offers a brighter display and performance enhancements. The 1000-nit peak brightness in HDR is a significant upgrade over the older model's 800-nit display, ensuring great visibility in most rooms, though glare may be an issue in very bright spaces.
As an OLED monitor, it offers a near-infinite contrast ratio for rich, deep blacks in dark scenes without blooming. Colors are impressive with DCI-P3 98.5% coverage and accurate sRGB mode, though some picture settings are limited in sRGB mode. It’s ideal for content creators and gamers, with HDR10 compatibility enhancing the experience.
For gaming performance, this UltraGear monitor features a speedy 240Hz refresh rate, fast enough for most players, as many GPUs can't even hit 240Hz in 1440p. Action remains smooth, and FreeSync Premium Pro and G-Sync compatibility ensure minimal tearing. The fast response time and low input lag make the LG UltraGear 27GS95QE an exceptional gaming choice.
Beyond its stunning visuals and performance, this monitor offers ample ports, including two HDMI 2.1 inputs, allowing 120Hz gaming on PS5 and Xbox Series X with VRR support.

Though I didn't review it firsthand, it impressed me in-person. The 15.6-inch Full HD OLED panel delivers 400 nits of brightness and a contrast ratio of 100,000:1, perfect for HDR. With a swift 1ms response time, browsing and streaming feel incredibly smooth.
The OLED panel sets this monitor apart, with colors leaping off the screen. Its peak brightness doesn't match a full-size gaming monitor, but its infinite contrast delivers excellent dynamic range. For gaming, you'll be limited to 60Hz, but the picture quality is outstanding.
The proximity sensor switches the monitor to power-saving mode when you move away, saving battery and preventing burn-in. The included case allows for both horizontal and vertical modes, offering flexibility. Connectivity is comprehensive, with a headphone jack, two USB-C/DisplayPort ports, an additional USB-C port for power, and a mini-HDMI port.
This is one of my favorite portable monitors, providing OLED sharpness on the go.

For under $300, you get a gaming monitor with blacks as close to OLED as possible on an IPS panel. It also boasts a peak HDR brightness of around 1,000 nits for full-screen whites and well over 1,000 nits for highlights, perfect for HDR, and uses quantum dots for enhanced color coverage, ideal for creators.
Its mini-LED backlight with 1,152 local dimming zones performs alongside monitors twice its price. Blooming is present but reduced, and the blacks are deep while the highlights and colors pop. It's remarkably close to OLED without the usual risks.
To achieve its low price, it lacks extra features like a USB hub or KVM and has few gaming options in its OSD. For the utmost color accuracy, calibration with a colorimeter is recommended. Despite these minor limitations, it's an absolute steal.
How To Pick the Best OLED Monitor
When choosing the perfect OLED monitor, consider the size you need. OLED monitors range from compact 24-inch models to massive 55-inch options. Consider your desk space and intended use. Graphic designers or video editors might prefer larger, higher-resolution screens like 4K for detailed images, while gamers might prioritize refresh rates and response times over size.
Also, think about features and connectivity. Do you need multiple HDMI ports or USB-C for data transfer and charging? Some OLED monitors include built-in speakers, adjustable stands, and HDR support for richer colors and better contrast. Make a list of essential features and prioritize them.
OLED monitors can be pricier than LCD counterparts, but the picture quality and performance often justify the cost. Set a budget based on your needs and research to find the best value.
OLED Monitor FAQ
Is OLED or Mini-LED better?
Both have benefits and drawbacks. OLED monitors offer incredible contrast and colors but at the expense of brightness and burn-in risk, though this is less of an issue in modern models. Mini-LED monitors, with their array of ultra-bright LEDs, offer better contrast and brightness without burn-in risk but may show "blooming." Your choice depends on your priorities and risk tolerance.
Is OLED burn-in still an issue?
OLED displays can experience burn-in, but it's less problematic in modern monitors. Manufacturers include protections like pixel shifting and intelligent dimming to prevent image retention, which often resolves after a few minutes.
Is 4K worth it over 1440p?
4K monitors offer clearer, crisper images due to higher pixel counts, but they demand more from your computer. A powerful graphics card like an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 Super is needed to fully utilize a 4K OLED monitor.
When can you find discounts on OLED monitors?
Retailers often discount older OLED models when new ones are released. Big sales events like Amazon Prime Day and Black Friday are prime times to buy, but Back to School season and winter holidays also offer good deals.
