TMNT: The Last Ronin II - Re-Evolution #5 is crafted by the talented team of Kevin Eastman and Tom Waltz as writers, with art by Ben Bishop, Isaac Escorza, and Esau Escorza.
Here's the official description from IDW for issue #5:
The second installment in the legendary Last Ronin saga reaches its explosive and dramatic finale! The streets of New York are engulfed in chaos, and no one is safe. Casey, April, Odyn, Yi, Moja, and Uno find themselves in the thick of the battle. Will they all survive? The fate of these characters lies with the masterful storytelling of Kevin Eastman and Tom Waltz as this chapter of The Last Ronin saga comes to a close.
In a 2024 interview with IGN, Kevin Eastman shared insights into the development of the new Turtle characters: "One of the things that we aimed to do was really modernize the characters. We have two male and two female Turtle characters, and Tom and I are focused on capturing the essence of what teenagers today might think, say, and do. There's a diverse range of personalities, much like the original Turtles. They love their family deeply, yet they don't always see eye to eye. They might argue, they might have disagreements, but when it comes down to working as a team, it's the heart and soul of the family that always pulls them together. That's the core of anything we do with the Turtles."
