Developer Marmalade Games aimed to deliver a new expansion as a festive treat, offering not only new locations but also innovative gameplay mechanics. Country-to-country tickets challenge players to connect specific countries, offering multiple route options with varying point values. For example, connecting France could yield different scores depending on whether you link it to Germany, Italy, or Austria. City-to-country tickets present a similar challenge, but require connecting a city to a designated country. Each country features a limited number of connection points, demanding swift and efficient strategic decision-making.
Scoring is based on the highest-value connection completed for each ticket. However, failure to complete a connection results in a point deduction based on the ticket's lowest value.
