EA has unveiled Battlefield Labs, a specialized testing platform that serves as an internal closed beta for upcoming franchise titles. Developers have also teased brief pre-alpha gameplay footage from the current build.
Selected participants in Battlefield Labs will evaluate core gameplay mechanics and conceptual elements - though not all tested features may appear in the final product. All testers must sign non-disclosure agreements before accessing gameplay components. The initial test phase will include Conquest and Breakthrough modes, focusing first on combat mechanics and destruction physics before moving to balance testing.
Pre-registration is now open for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series platforms. EA plans to distribute thousands of invitations in upcoming weeks, with regional expansions to follow in later testing phases.

Developers confirm the shooter has reached its "critical development phase," though no official release window has been announced. Four studios are collaborating on the project: DICE, Motive, Criterion Games, and Ripple Effect.
