DC Studios has unveiled a brand-new Superman trailer, offering fans an exclusive three-minute glimpse into the highly anticipated film set to release on July 11, 2025. Directed by James Gunn, this movie promises to deliver an expansive universe filled with iconic heroes and formidable villains—many of whom are showcased in greater detail throughout the trailer.

Nathan Fillion makes a striking impression as Guy Gardner, aka Green Lantern, seen effortlessly smacking down enemies with a flick of his energy-charged hand. Isabela Merced brings Hawkgirl to life with fierce presence, while María Gabriela de Faría’s portrayal of The Engineer offers a deeper look at one of the film’s central antagonists. In a pivotal moment from the trailer, The Engineer is shown destroying the robotic caretakers of Superman’s Fortress of Solitude—a scene that likely includes the demise of Kelex, previously seen being mourned by a grief-stricken Superman.

Adding some lighthearted intensity to the action, Krypto the Superdog leaps into battle with a flying punch aimed directly at The Engineer—proving he’s more than just a loyal companion.

The trailer also highlights key performances from Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor and the mysterious Ultraman. Edi Gathegi’s Mister Terrific and Anthony Carrigan’s Rex Mason / Metamorpho appear more prominently, giving audiences a better sense of their roles in the story. Additionally, the newly introduced Hammer of Boravia—believed to be a disguised Ultraman—makes his expected debut, aligning with yesterday’s teaser reveal.

Clark Kent and Lois Lane’s dynamic remains a core emotional thread in the film. In one standout scene, Lois conducts an interview with Clark while he's in full Superman attire. The conversation turns tense as the two clash over the moral implications of Superman’s involvement in a foreign conflict (“I wasn’t representing anyone except for me… and doing good!”). This ethical debate appears to trigger a dramatic response from the Hammer of Boravia, who launches an attack on downtown Metropolis.

Another emotionally charged moment features a civilian pulling Superman out of a crater during the chaos of battle—an uplifting contrast to other scenes where members of the public react negatively, screaming at and even throwing objects at the Man of Steel.
