The Capcom Pro Tour has concluded, revealing the 48 competitors set to clash at Capcom Cup XI. While the world's best players are undoubtedly exciting, let's shift our focus to the characters they've chosen to wield.
Following the World Warrior circuit, EventHubs compiled statistics on the most popular Street Fighter 6 characters at the highest level of play. This data offers a valuable glimpse into the game's current balance. Remarkably, all 24 fighters saw representation, though from nearly two hundred players (across eight finalists from 24 regions), only one opted for Ryu. Even Terry Bogard, the newest addition to the roster, only attracted two players.
Dominating the professional scene are Cammy, Ken, and M. Bison, each selected as a main character by 17 players. A significant gap separates this top tier from the next, where Akuma (12 players), Ed and Luke (both 11), and JP and Chun-Li (both 10) follow. Among the less frequently chosen characters, Zangief, Guile, and Juri stand out, each serving as a main character for seven players.
Capcom Cup XI will take place this March in Tokyo, with a million-dollar prize awaiting the champion.
