Saber Interactive has reaffirmed that all its previously announced projects are actively in development, despite the lack of updates on high-profile titles like the much-anticipated Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) remake. In the wake of announcing Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3, Saber's Chief Creative Officer, Tim Willits, took to Twitter to reassure fans. He emphasized Saber's status as one of the world's largest independent developers and its commitment to a diverse range of projects across various genres.

“Saber Interactive is one of the largest independent developers in the world,” Willits stated. “We are working on numerous games across many different genres. Everything that we have talked about is still in development. We will share information on upcoming games when we have something cool to share.”

The most notable project mentioned by Willits is the KOTOR remake, which has been shrouded in mystery since its announcement in 2021. The project has undergone multiple changes in development teams, seemingly halted and restarted, yet after four years, it remains unseen. In April 2024, Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch confirmed that the KOTOR project was taken with them during their split from Embracer Group and is still actively being developed. "It's clear and it's obvious that we're working on this," Karch stated at the time. "It's been in the press numerous times. What I will say is that the game is alive and well, and we're dedicated to making sure we exceed consumer expectations."

Willits' recent statement, nearly a year after Karch's comments, reaffirms the ongoing development of the KOTOR remake. However, fans are still awaiting any new visuals or updates beyond the initial announcement video.

Play Saber Interactive is also working on other titles, including John Carpenter's Toxic Commando and Jurassic Park Survival, both slated for 2025, though specific release dates remain undisclosed. Additionally, Saber is developing a new Turok game and an untitled Avatar: The Last Airbender project. With the recent addition of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3 to their lineup, fans can look forward to more details on which chapters and enemy factions might be featured in this upcoming title.
