For the uninitiated, the first season faithfully adapts the events of the original game and its *Left Behind* expansion, enhancing the narrative with additional world-building. Showrunners Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann (a key figure in the games' creation) masterfully crafted the scripts.
Pedro Pascal shines as Joel Miller, and Bella Ramsey delivers a captivating performance as Ellie. Adding a delightful touch, Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson (the game's Joel and Ellie) also appear. The series follows Joel's journey escorting Ellie across a post-apocalyptic America ravaged by a fungal pandemic, where Ellie holds the key to humanity's survival.
