PSA: Early Battlefield 6 Footage Seems to Have Leaked Online

Authore: ZoeyUpdate:Mar 16,2025

Leaked gameplay footage from a closed playtest of EA's upcoming Battlefield game has surfaced online, generating significant buzz among fans. As reported by TheGamer, a Twitch streamer, anto_merguezz, seemingly broadcast footage from the Battlefield Labs playtest. While the stream itself is no longer available on the streamer's page, recordings have circulated widely, primarily via Reddit.

The leaked footage seemingly confirms the game's modern setting, a detail previously hinted at by Vince Zampella. The clips showcase intense firefights and highlight the game's signature destructible environments. Early reactions from fans appear positive, a welcome change after the less-than-stellar launch of Battlefield 2042.

Last month's official unveiling revealed some key details, including the highly anticipated return of a traditional, linear single-player campaign—a feature notably absent in Battlefield 2042, much to the disappointment of many players.

EA currently projects a fiscal year 2026 launch window (April 2025 – March 2026) for the new Battlefield title. With the game's release still some time away, more official reveals are expected soon as EA ramps up its marketing efforts. Given the current leak situation, however, it seems containing further unauthorized disclosures may prove challenging for EA.
