January 2025 Gacha Game Revenue: Genshin Impact Leads the Pack
The gacha game market continues to generate significant revenue, with January 2025 figures revealing some interesting trends. Genshin Impact, boosted by a major update featuring the Pyro Archon and the highly anticipated Mawuika banner, saw a remarkable surge in earnings. Data indicates a doubling of revenue, reaching $99.4 million compared to $45.6 million in December 2024.

Trailing behind Genshin Impact, Pokémon TCG secured second place with $64 million in revenue. Love and Deepspace, a popular "female gacha" title, rounded out the top three, generating $55.2 million.
Honkai: Star Rail experienced a dip in revenue, earning $50.8 million, while Zenless Zone Zero saw a significant decrease, with earnings halved from $57.9 million to $26.3 million.
It's important to note that this ranking considers only mobile platform revenues. Furthermore, the data acknowledges the absence of Google Play in China, explaining that Android revenue estimates for the region are derived using a multiplier based on iOS revenue within China.
