Pokémon Go Tests Go Pass in Select Regions

Authore: ConnorUpdate:May 04,2025

Get ready for an exciting new feature in Pokémon Go—the Go Pass! Currently being tested in select regions, this upcoming system will soon be available globally. If you're lucky enough to be in one of the eligible areas, you can dive into the Go Pass: April event, running from April 1st to May 6th, and snag a variety of rewards.

Battle passes are all the rage these days, and now Pokémon Go is getting in on the action. During the Go Pass: April event, you can earn Go Points to advance your pass and unlock rewards like encounters with Xerneas, Stardust, XP, and Poké Balls.

The Go Pass is free, but if you're looking to boost your rewards, the Go Pass Deluxe is the way to go. It offers premium perks such as a Lucky Trinket, Candy XL, and useful items like Incubators and Lure Modules. You can upgrade to Deluxe at any time and retroactively claim rewards from previously unlocked ranks.

As you progress through the Go Pass, you'll hit Major Milestones that unlock additional benefits. Tier one extends the duration of Daily Adventure Incense, Tier two boosts XP and Stardust from Research Breakthroughs, and Tier three increases Stardust and XP from hatching Eggs. The final Deluxe reward is another Lucky Trinket, ensuring a Lucky Friend encounter.

Since the Go Pass is still in its testing phase, rewards and structures may differ across regions. Some areas might offer different encounters, adjusted item rewards, or even PokéCoins at certain ranks. These variations will help Niantic perfect the system before its global launch.

If you're in an eligible region, this is your golden opportunity to experience the Go Pass before its worldwide rollout. Be sure to claim all your earned rewards by May 8th, and remember to use your Lucky Trinket before it expires on May 11th!
