The latest expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket, *Shining Revelry*, has brought dazzling new shiny variants into the game, along with over 110 new cards to collect. The excitement is palpable, especially with the inclusion of cards from the Paldea region. As soon as the update dropped, I couldn't resist spending some of my Pack Hourglasses on a 10-pack pull. My luck held out, and I snagged a Charizard EX, though the rest of the haul was less exciting. However, pulling a Pokémon Center Lady card was a small consolation, given her ability to heal Special Conditions—a crucial advantage when facing off against opponents with Burn effects.
Alongside the new cards, the update introduces an Emblem event, allowing players to earn new badges to show off to friends. The much-anticipated Ranked Matches are also on the horizon, where you'll compete against other Trainers to climb from Beginner to Master Ball Rank. Points earned during these matches will be displayed, and at the end of the season—approximately one month—you'll be awarded an emblem. It's time to dust off those dueling skills and start building competitive decks.
