Pokémon GO Tour: Unova Brings Black and White Kyurem!
Get ready, Pokémon GO trainers! Black and White Kyurem are finally arriving in Pokémon GO as part of the global GO Tour: Unova event, taking place March 1st and 2nd. These legendary Pokémon will be appearing in raids, offering players a chance to catch both their standard and shiny forms. The event also features special in-game backgrounds inspired by the original Pokémon Black and White games.
The arrival of Black and White Kyurem has been highly anticipated by fans. Following an accidental early release in 2023, their official debut has been eagerly awaited. Their potential to significantly impact the game's meta adds to the excitement.
Niantic's announcement confirms the duo's inclusion in the GO Tour: Unova event, perfectly themed to the Unova region featured in the Pokémon Black and White games. Beyond simply catching them in raids, trainers can also participate in fusion events.
Fusion Frenzy:
Similar to last year's Necrozma fusion, trainers can fuse Black Kyurem with Zekrom (requiring 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Zekrom Candy) or White Kyurem with Reshiram (requiring 1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Reshiram Candy). These fusions unlock unique attacks (Freeze Shock for Black Kyurem's fusion, Ice Burn for White Kyurem's fusion) and are reversible at no cost. The necessary fusion energy is obtained by defeating Kyurem in raids.
Exclusive Event Rewards:
Beyond the legendary Pokémon and their fusions, the GO Tour: Unova event offers two special backgrounds inspired by Pokémon Black and White. Completing both Black and White Kyurem fusions unlocks a third, unique background.
