Pokémon TCG Pocket’s latest Mass Outbreak event is now live.
It marks the first appearance of Metal-type Pokémon in Rare and Bonus picks.

For Pokémon fans eager for exciting summer events—like Pokémon Go’s road tours and the upcoming Ultra Beasts debut in TCG Pocket—this Mass Outbreak event offers a thrilling chance to collect Metal-type Pokémon. Solgaleo, one of the newest additions to the roster, takes center stage alongside other Metal-types that will appear more frequently in Rare and Bonus picks. Plus, you’ll have opportunities to enhance your collected cards with special upgrades.
Keep an eye out for themed missions that reward you with shop tickets, helping you secure cards through Wonder Pick or other event mechanics. Full details are available on your mission screen, offering multiple ways to expand your collection during the event.
Trading places
This event gives you a prime chance to obtain powerful Metal-type cards—including Solgaleo, who first appeared in the Celestial Guardians expansion. While trading features still have limitations, Mass Outbreak events offer a reliable alternative to acquire the cards you’re chasing.
This push may also be a response to growing competition this summer. With the Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel and Duel Links WCS Qualifiers approaching, many digital TCG players might shift their focus.
