Pocket Gamer Awards 2024 winners and game of the year announced

After a month of nominations and a month of voting, the winners of the 2024 Pocket Gamer Awards have been announced! While many anticipated winners took home awards, there were also some delightful surprises among the public's choices. This year has been exceptionally strong for mobile gaming, a fact clearly reflected in the public's votes.

This year's awards mark a significant milestone, showcasing the incredible growth of the mobile gaming industry since the inaugural Pocket Gamer Awards in 2010 (where reader's choice was just one category). Having witnessed the entire process from the start of nominations in October, I can confidently say this year's awards represent a true triumph. Not only did we receive an overwhelming number of votes, but, critically, this is the first year the winners truly reflect the breadth and depth of the mobile gaming landscape.

The winners represent a diverse range of developers and publishers, from gaming giants like NetEase (with their Sony IP: Destiny), Tencent-backed Supercell, and Scopely, to established publishers such as Konami and Bandai Namco, and finally, beloved indie developers like Rusty Lake and Emoak. This year also saw a remarkable influx of high-quality ports, mirroring the trend of PC games adapting mobile classics, but in reverse. This is evident in the three exceptional port winners.

Without further ado, here are the winners:
