Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium's Pity System Explained: Does Pity Carry Over Between Banners?
In Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium, a free-to-play tactical RPG with gacha mechanics from Sunborn, available on PC and mobile, a key question for players revolves around the pity system and whether progress carries over between banners. The short answer is: yes, for limited banners.
Your pity counter and pulls accumulate across consecutive limited-time banners. This means pulls on one limited banner contribute to the pity counter for the next limited banner. For instance, during the global launch, pulls on either the Suomi or Ullrid banners incremented the pity counter for both. Reaching pity on one allowed a 50/50 chance on the other. This carry-over applies to all future limited banners, confirmed by Chinese players on Reddit. However, once a limited banner ends, your accumulated pity carries over to the next limited banner added to the game.
Crucially, this pity system does not extend to standard banners. Progress on standard banners does not influence limited banners, and vice versa.
While hard pity is capped at 80 pulls, a soft pity mechanic begins around 58 pulls. After 58 pulls without an SSR unit, your odds gradually improve until hard pity is reached at pull 80.
This clarification should resolve any uncertainty regarding pity carry-over in Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium. For more game guides, including rerolling, tier lists, and mailbox location, check out The Escapist.
