In *Persona 5: The Phantom X*, players step into the shoes of a brand-new protagonist, joined by a fresh crew of Phantom Thieves. The game retains the series' beloved turn-based combat and dual-life rhythm, enhanced with light social-sim elements and dungeon crawling. Additionally, players can engage with a guild system, tackle the PvE mode known as Velvet Trials, and encounter familiar characters from the original Persona 5.
The narrative begins with the protagonist waking from a nightmare into a distorted reality. Along their journey, they meet a talking owl named Lefaye and the enigmatic Velvet Room crew, including the unsettling long-nosed man and his assistants.
