Orna: The GPS RPG is gearing up for its next major event - Natureblight. This fresh in-game chapter launches on May 30th, 2025 and continues through June 14th as part of the ongoing Terra's Legacy storyline, challenging players to confront ecological threats once more.
Natureblight Introduces The Great Murk to Orna's World
Northern Forge Studios continues their environmental focus with Natureblight, weaving real-world conservation messages into the game's fantasy setting. This marks their second participation in the Green Game Jam initiative supported by the Playing for the Planet Alliance.
True to Orna's signature gameplay, Natureblight blends fantasy elements with actual geographical data. The event transports players to seven real-world locations currently facing environmental crises, each represented by unique Animal Guardians embodying their local ecosystems.
Players will journey across diverse biomes - from Canada's Prince Edward County (home to the Beaver guardian) to Oceania's Coral Reefs, Uganda's misty Bwindi Impenetrable Forest (protected by the Mountain Gorilla), and France's Dunkerque (guarded by the Bone Mammoth relic). The adventure continues through Ecuador's Galapagos Islands (with the Giant Tortoise), China's Chengdu (defended by the Giant Panda), and concludes in the Antarctic Peninsula (watched over by the Macaroni Penguin). These Animal Guardians become permanent companions after the event.
Confronting The Great Murk
As players explore each region, they'll uncover how the alien Terran civilization devastated their environment through deforestation, pollution and extinction events. Now history threatens to repeat itself as the creeping Great Murk returns, forcing players to combat this spreading ecological corruption.
To enhance the experience, a special Natureblight pack is available through PlanetPlay featuring origin town cosmetics, character sprites and gameplay boosters. Orna: The GPS RPG can be downloaded via the Google Play Store.
