Terra’s Legacy, running from September 9th to the 19th, integrates real-world environmental action with your Orna gameplay. During this event, you'll discover polluted or littered real-world locations through the game. Once you report these spots, Northern Forge Studios transforms them into in-game Gloomsites, symbolizing the planet's pollution.
At these Gloomsites, you'll battle the Murk, a pollution-themed enemy reminiscent of characters from Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind or Princess Mononoke. Defeating the Murk contributes to raising pollution awareness and allows you to plant trees and grow Gaia apples in these areas. These Gaia apples not only let you customize your character but also enhance their magical abilities. Other players can harvest these apples, amplifying the collective impact on both the in-game and real-world environments.
Orna's Terra’s Legacy event is part of the Green Game Jam 2024, an annual initiative where game developers worldwide create events focused on environmental awareness.
