Nvidia RTX 5060 Debuts: Worth the Wait?

Authore: EmmaUpdate:Oct 28,2025

Nvidia unveiled its RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti GPUs in April 2025, and now the budget-friendly RTX 5060 has officially launched following Computex announcements.

Priced at $299, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 delivers 3,840 CUDA cores across 30 Streaming Multiprocessors – sufficient for smooth 1080p gaming. Nvidia highlights impressive capabilities at this resolution, claiming the card achieves 223 fps in Doom: The Dark Ages at max settings (with 4x multi-frame generation enabled).

The standout feature remains Multi-Frame Generation support, fully integrated into DLSS 4 technology suite. While being the most affordable option in this generation, buyers should note the 30 SM count may limit DLSS potential.

The $299 price represents entry-level models – expect higher-priced variants with premium features like factory overclocking and RGB lighting.

Reviews Are Coming... Later

Despite its attractive price point (if the MSRP holds), we recommend waiting for performance benchmarks. While Nvidia's claims sound promising, all performance metrics involve Multi-Frame Generation, leaving actual capabilities uncertain until independent testing.

Review availability will be delayed compared to previous launches like the RTX 5090, as Nvidia isn't providing early press drivers. Expect comprehensive reviews approximately one week post-launch. The card should handle 1080p gaming well, though recent Blackwell GPUs have shown modest generational improvements.

The RTX 5060 might mirror the RTX 5070's performance leap over its predecessor, particularly in traditional gaming scenarios without frame generation. Nvidia estimates up to 2x improvement with frame generation enabled versus about 20% boost in non-RT, non-FG games – likely under optimal conditions.

As with premium tech purchases, we strongly advise awaiting third-party reviews before purchasing. Comprehensive assessments are forthcoming, though they may require several days post-launch.
