Netflix Is Dropping The Electric State: Kid Cosmo, a Prequel Game to the Upcoming Movie

Netflix is launching a tie-in game for their upcoming sci-fi adventure, The Electric State. This retro-futuristic puzzle game, The Electric State: Kid Cosmo, will debut on March 18th, just days after the film's Netflix premiere on March 14th.

Directed by the Russo brothers and starring Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt, The Electric State features a post-apocalyptic road trip across a stylized 1990s America, filled with giant robots.

More Than Just a Movie Adaptation

The Electric State: Kid Cosmo acts as a prequel, delving into the childhoods of key characters Chris and Michelle through a unique game-within-a-game structure. Developed by BUCK Games (creators of the popular Steam game Let's! Revolution!) in collaboration with AGBO, the game promises engaging gameplay.

Expect a WarioWare-esque series of puzzle adventures, infused with an 80s aesthetic. Set in Wichita, Kansas, in 1985, the narrative unfolds over five years, enriching the backstory of Chris and Michelle's journey. Players will collect modules, repair Kid Cosmo's ship, and solve puzzles to unveil the mysteries of this unusual world.

Following the Interactive Spin-Off Trend

Netflix continues to expand its gaming library, particularly with interactive spin-offs. Titles like Stranger Things: Puzzle Tales, Too Hot to Handle, Money Heist: Ultimate Choice, and Squid Game: Unleashed demonstrate their commitment to this growing sector.

Netflix subscribers can find the game on the Google Play Store. Stay tuned for our next article on the new game Hello Kitty My Dream Store.
