In Moonlighter 2, players take on the role of an entrepreneur aiming to transform a humble shop into a thriving business. To achieve this, they must brave dungeons to gather rare artifacts while facing off against formidable foes.
Digital Sun has stated that Moonlighter 2 builds upon the original game's framework by offering richer narratives and improved gameplay mechanics. The storyline follows the protagonist, Will, as he embarks on a quest to find his home dimension within the vast world of Trense. Throughout his adventure, Will reconnects with old allies and forges new friendships. His journey also leads him to encounter a mysterious trader who assigns him the mission of locating potent relics rumored to lead him back to his native realm.
The game's soundtrack is composed by the renowned Chris Larkin, famous for his work on Hollow Knight. Fans can look forward to the release of Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault later this year on PC (via Steam), Xbox Series, and PS5.
