Monster Hunter Now's Season 5: The Blossoming Blade, launching March 6th, 2025, promises a thrilling update packed with new content. Before the main event, get ready for the early arrival of the Chatacabra on February 28th, making its debut ahead of its appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds. Season 5 will also introduce Glavenus and Arzuros to the hunt.
Weapon balancing is a key focus, aiming to enhance the viability and enjoyment of all weapon types. The Sword & Shield receives a buff, improving its effectiveness against breakable parts like tails. The Perfect Rush Combo (SP) will now reward precisely timed inputs with significantly stronger performance, creating more satisfying combat.
The Guard skill is also getting a much-needed upgrade. Previously offering minimal benefit at higher levels, the improved Guard skill will now noticeably reduce damage taken when blocking. Further balance adjustments will be detailed in the full patch notes released on March 6th.
Beyond combat enhancements, Season 5 addresses a common player frustration: overflowing inventories. An Item Box Expansion, available as a Supply Item, will provide an extra 250 inventory slots.
Furthermore, celebrating Monster Hunter Now's 1.5-Year Anniversary on March 17th, a new trading feature will arrive. This allows players to exchange special materials earned from hunts and events for valuable rewards such as Item Box Expansions, Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, and Wyvern Gem Shards.
