Season 5 Update Introduces Chameleos and Spring Hunt Event
Monster Hunter Now's second Season 5 update brings the Spring Hunt 2025 - a premium timed event running May 24-25, 2025. The highlight is the elusive elder dragon Chameleos making its debut alongside special hunter rewards.
What Spring Hunt 2025 Offers
Access requires purchasing an event ticket from the shop. This grants unlimited back-to-back Elder Dragon hunts exclusively featuring Chameleos without cooldowns between encounters. Participants also earn limited Chameleos-themed layered armor as a bonus reward.
Two special Event Exchange Hubs will operate - the Spring Hunt Eve Exchange opens May 19 (9:00 AM) through June 2 (11:59 PM). Hunters can earn tokens by defeating large monsters from May 19-25, redeemable for rare materials including:
- Silver Rathalos Plate
- Glavenus Plate
- Wyvern Gem Shard
Facing the Phantom Dragon
Chameleos debuts in Elder Dragon Interceptions starting May 24. This cunning foe employs stealth and obscuring mist to disorient hunters. Hunters rank 100+ can encounter it in 8-star difficulty once preliminaries begin at 9:00 AM.
Vulnerable to Fire, Dragon, and Blast elements, strategic loadouts are key. Successful hunters unlock the Mizuha armor set featuring Chameleos Venomist - halving poison/venom duration while boosting poisoning capability.

- Dual Blades
- Great Sword
- Long Sword
- Hammer
- Gunlance
- Switch Axe
- Charge Blade
- Bow
