Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Returns to the Esports World Cup 2025!

Following the apparent success of the Esports World Cup 2024, several game publishers have announced the return of their titles for the 2025 edition. Hot on the heels of Garena's Free Fire confirmation, Moonton has announced that Mobile Legends: Bang Bang will also be featured.

The 2024 World Cup included two Mobile Legends: Bang Bang events: the MLBB Mid-Season Cup (MSC) and the MLBB Women's Invitational. These events drew teams from around the globe to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Selangor Red Giants emerged victorious in the MSC, while Smart Omega Empress defeated Team Vitality (ending their impressive 25-game win streak) to claim the Women's Invitational title.

A Strong Showing, But Is It Enough?

While most games from the 2024 Esports World Cup are returning in 2025, a notable trend emerges: the featured competitions aren't always the highest-profile events in each game's ecosystem. The inclusion of the MLBB Mid-Season Cup, for instance, might lead some to view the Esports World Cup as a supplementary event rather than the main attraction.

This is a double-edged sword. It avoids overshadowing existing leagues, but it also risks being perceived as secondary to the major championships.

Regardless of this perception, fans of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang will undoubtedly welcome its return to this prestigious tournament. If this news has piqued your interest, check out our Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tier list to discover the top-tier characters!
