Marvel Rivals Unveils "The Maker," a New Mister Fantastic Skin
A new skin for Mister Fantastic, dubbed "The Maker," has been revealed for Marvel Rivals. This villainous alternate version of Reed Richards from the Ultimate timeline will debut alongside the character himself on January 10th, with the launch of Season 1: Eternal Night Falls (1 AM PST).
The Maker skin showcases a striking black and gray aesthetic, accented by a glowing blue circle on the chest and back. A slate-colored mask, featuring a blue visor, obscures most of Mister Fantastic's face, reflecting his disfigurement in the Ultimate universe storyline. Gameplay footage highlights the skin's dynamic properties, showing the suit stretching and adapting as Mister Fantastic utilizes his abilities.
This isn't the only dark twist coming to the game. Invisible Woman will also receive a villainous skin, known as Malice.
Season 1's Launch Includes Major Updates
The Season 1 update is packed with new content beyond new skins. Expect a new game mode, "Doom Match," a free-for-all battle royale for 8-12 players where the top 50% win. Character balance adjustments (buffs and nerfs) are also planned, along with new maps, including a dark, ominous version of New York City.

While official announcements continue, data miners have uncovered additional unreleased cosmetics. A Lunar New Year skin for Spider-Man is among the leaked content, alongside potential skins for Hulk, Scarlet Witch, and Doctor Strange.
