Marvel Rivals Showcases Its Season 1 Darkhold Battle Pass

Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls – A Deep Dive into the Darkhold Battle Pass

NetEase Games has unveiled the Darkhold Battle Pass for Marvel Rivals' Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, offering a thrilling new chapter featuring Dracula as the primary antagonist. The Fantastic Four take center stage as they confront Dracula's forces after Doctor Strange falls victim to a cunning trap. Season 1 launches January 10th at 1 AM PST.

This season's battle pass, priced at 990 Lattice (approximately $10), provides players with a wealth of rewards. Completion unlocks 600 Lattice and 600 Units, usable for future cosmetic purchases or battle passes. The pass boasts 10 exclusive skins, along with sprays, nameplates, emotes, and MVP animations. A key advantage: uncompleted passes do not expire, allowing players to finish at their own pace.

The trailer showcases a selection of captivating skins: Magneto's King Magnus attire (inspired by House of M), Rocket Raccoon's Western-themed bounty hunter look, and Iron Man's medieval, Dark Souls-esque Blood Edge Armor. Peni Parker sports a vibrant blue and white suit, while Namor dons a green costume accented with gold.

Season 1 Battle Pass Skins:

  • Loki – All-Butcher
  • Moon Knight – Blood Moon Knight
  • Rocket Raccoon – Bounty Hunter
  • Peni Parker – Blue Tarantula
  • Magneto – King Magnus
  • Namor – Savage Sub-Mariner
  • Iron Man – Blood Edge Armor
  • Adam Warlock – Blood Soul
  • Scarlet Witch – Emporium Matron
  • Wolverine – Blood Berserker

The season's aesthetic is decidedly dark and brooding, exemplified by Wolverine's Van Helsing-inspired skin and the blood moon casting its ominous shadow over New York City in the new maps. Loki's All-Butcher skin exudes menace, while Moon Knight's black and white contrast is striking. Scarlet Witch's classic red and purple ensemble and Adam Warlock's golden armor with crimson cape complete the darkly themed roster.

While the battle pass is generating considerable excitement, the absence of skins for the debuting Fantastic Four characters (Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic) has surprised some. These characters' cosmetics will be available separately in the in-game shop. Nevertheless, the abundance of new content promises a captivating season for Marvel Rivals fans.
