CrazyGames is set to launch its exciting Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025, kicking off this week from April 25th to May 5th. This 10-day global game development marathon is a golden opportunity for indie developers, and it's happening in partnership with Photon, the world's leading multiplayer service provider. The focus of the jam is on crafting innovative web-based multiplayer games, and participants will have the chance to vie for a hefty prize pool of €10,000 in cash, along with premium Photon licenses that include:
- 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year (€7,500 value)
- 500 CCU for a year (€1,500 value)
- 100 CCU for a year (€100 value)
The event's rules are straightforward: games must be developed and submitted within the jam's timeframe and must adhere to PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond that, creativity is the only limit!
Since its inception in 2014, CrazyGames has become the go-to platform for free online gaming, leveraging HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGL technologies to offer seamless browser-based gaming experiences across thousands of titles. During the jam, CrazyGames will support developers and offer winners the chance to publish their games on the platform.
A pre-jam livestream is scheduled for April 24th at 4 pm CEST on YouTube and LinkedIn, where attendees can gain insights into two new WebGL platforms: Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Photon Engine's Head of Growth, emphasized the potential of these platforms, saying, "Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples let you create high-performant multiplayer games easily. We believe a WebGL game will be in the top 20 of the world's most visited websites in the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is a good opportunity for everyone to innovate on the platform."
Registration for the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to developers of all skill levels. To learn more and sign up, visit the official jam page.
