Exciting news for Marvel fans! Faran Tahir is set to reprise his role as Raza Hamidmi al-Wazar from the original Iron Man film in the upcoming Vision Quest series. This character, who led the terrorist group that held Tony Stark captive in a cave, hasn't been seen since the opening scenes of the 2008 blockbuster. His return marks a significant callback to the early days of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), much like Samuel Sterns' reappearance in Captain America: Brave New World.
In Vision Quest, which follows the storyline of Paul Bettany's White Vision post-WandaVision, Raza's involvement could tie into the broader narrative of the Ten Rings organization. Initially introduced as a generic terrorist group, the lore was expanded in Phase 4, notably with the release of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings in 2021. This expansion retroactively positions Raza as a commander within the Ten Rings, opening up potential connections between Vision Quest and the larger MCU universe.

Similar to how Deadpool & Wolverine delves into the quirky elements of the Fox Marvel universe, Vision Quest might explore forgotten aspects of the MCU. Adding to the intrigue, James Spader is rumored to return as Ultron, making his first appearance since Avengers: Age of Ultron. While details about Vision Quest remain scarce, the inclusion of these familiar faces promises an exciting blend of nostalgia and new storytelling.
