Napoleon Bonaparte, a staple of the *Civilization* franchise, returns in *Civilization 7* (*Civ 7*), but unlocking him requires a few extra steps. There are two versions available: the Emperor and the Revolutionary.

The Emperor Napoleon persona is unlocked by creating or linking a 2K account. Follow these simple steps:
- Visit portal.2k.com. Log in to your existing account or create a new one.
- Link your 2K account to your gaming platform through Connections -> Account Overview.
That's it! You've unlocked the Emperor Napoleon, a leader specializing in commerce and military might. His unique ability, "Empereur des Francais," grants a unique sanction, "Continental System," reducing the trade route limit of targeted leaders, imposing a significant relationship penalty, and increasing the cost of rejection. He also gains +8 Gold per Age for each unfriendly or hostile leader. He can reject Endeavors for free.
His agenda, "Napoleonic Code," favors players with the smallest standing army and dislikes those with the largest standing navy.
How to Get Napoleon, Revolutionary
Prefer the Revolutionary Napoleon? This persona is unlocked by linking your 2K account, ensuring that your Civ 6 and Civ 7 accounts are connected. You don't need to have played Civ 6 on the same platform as Civ 7.
The Revolutionary Napoleon is a cultural/militaristic leader with the "La Grande Armee" ability: +1 Movement for all Land Units, and defeating an enemy unit provides Culture equal to 50% of its Combat Strength.
His agenda, "Culture from Conquest," makes him dislike leaders with many alliances but rewards those with the highest Culture Per Turn.
