J.C. Lee, daughter of the iconic Marvel creator Stan Lee, has publicly addressed and denied allegations of elder abuse against both her father and her late mother, Joan, in a recent interview with Business Insider. These allegations first surfaced in 2017 after Joan Lee's passing, gaining significant attention with a detailed 2018 report from The Hollywood Reporter (THR). The THR article portrayed a tumultuous relationship, suggesting that J.C. Lee pressured her parents for financial control and assets, and was involved in heated verbal and at least one alleged physical confrontation with her father. The report also included a photograph of a bruise on Joan Lee's arm, which J.C. Lee vehemently denies causing.

In her interview with Business Insider, J.C. Lee firmly stated that the accusations were "a lie." She explained her silence at the time of the THR article was due to advice from those around her, a decision she now regrets. "You think I haven't regretted it to this day?" she remarked. "They are all lies. That photo is insane. I never did it." J.C. Lee admitted to having intense arguments with her parents over financial matters but insisted that these disputes never turned physical. "I never ever touched my parents," she emphasized.

Stan Lee passed away in 2018 at the age of 95 due to a heart attack. The comprehensive Business Insider interview delves into J.C. Lee's experiences growing up in the shadow of her famous father, her financial struggles, feelings of manipulation by others, her battles with loneliness, her creative endeavors, and the challenges of living with her father's enduring legacy.
