TouchArcade's Weekly Update Roundup: Noteworthy Game Updates
Hello everyone! Welcome to another week of noteworthy game updates! This week, Shaun tackles a bumper crop of updates, including (yes, you guessed it) more than one free-to-play matching puzzle game. But fear not, there are some genuinely cool updates in the mix too! Don't forget to check the TouchArcade forums for updates you might have missed. Let's dive in!
Peglin (Free): This week's coveted UMMSotW award goes to Peglin! Version 1.0 introduces challenges up to level 20 in Cruciball, a new Slime Hive mini-boss battle, and a plethora of tweaks, bug fixes, and balance adjustments. A solid update for an already excellent game.
Brawl Stars (Free): Get ready for Brawl Stars time! This update features a SpongeBob SquarePants event, the addition of two new Brawlers (Moe - Mythic and Kenji - Legendary), and several new Hypercharges for existing characters. These additions will roll out over the next couple of months.
stitch (Paid): More Hoops! That's the name of the game in this satisfying update to stitch. This update introduces a new set of Hoops with a martial arts theme (sort of). More puzzles are always welcome!
Genshin Impact (Free): Genshin Impact: Natlan Launch is here! Explore the new Natlan region, meet three new characters (Mualani, Kinich, and Kachina), discover new weapons, events, stories, and artifacts. A substantial update, but in line with previous major releases.
Temple Run: Puzzle Adventure (Apple Arcade): One hundred new levels! This Temple Run spin-off delivers a hefty dose of matching puzzle gameplay. Tournaments have also been refreshed.
Jetpack Joyride 2 (Apple Arcade): Barry Steakfries blasts off into space in this special update! Escape the clutches of capitalism and enjoy a cosmic adventure.
Puyo Puyo Puzzle Pop (Paid): New character episodes for Sig, Carbuncle, and Rafisol in Adventure Mode. Meena joins the playable roster (episode pending). Seven new music tracks are available in the shop.
Hearthstone (Free): Battlegrounds Season 8, "Trinkets & Travels," arrives with new content and the Trinket Shop, replacing Buddies. Purchase Trinkets with Gold twice per game to impact your matches.
Toon Blast (Free): Fifty new levels await in a brand-new episode featuring bees and happiness (or a delightful combination of both!).
Royal Match (Free): One hundred new levels and a new jousting arena! King Robert's fate remains…uncertain.
