The iPhone 16e succeeds the iPhone SE (last updated in 2022), offering a more modern design and specs closer to the standard iPhone 16. While pricier than the SE ($429), its $599 starting price undercuts the iPhone 16 ($799) and iPhone 15 ($699).
iPhone 16e Specs
The iPhone 16e boasts a 6.1-inch OLED display with a notch (instead of the iPhone 16's Dynamic Island). It features the same A18 chip as the iPhone 16, but with a 4-core GPU. While slightly less powerful, it supports Apple Intelligence and the new C1 cellular modem for improved battery life (up to 26 hours of video playback, compared to 22 on the iPhone 16).
However, it lacks MagSafe charging, although Qi wireless charging is supported. Color options are limited to black and white. Despite these omissions, the iPhone 16e offers a compelling value proposition.
