New Images and Details Revealed for The Lion King Ride and Area at Disneyland Paris, Construction Begins Soon

Authore: NovaUpdate:May 26,2025

Exciting developments are on the horizon for Disneyland Paris, as The Lion King ride is set to take the park by storm with new images, details, and a construction start window in Fall 2025. This thrilling addition, as revealed by the Disney Parks Blog, will be a cornerstone of the reimagined Walt Disney Studios Park, soon to be known as Disney Adventure World. Guests will embark on a water ride that brings to life the iconic moments from the beloved 1994 classic, complete with a towering 120-foot-high Pride Rock and an array of dining, shopping, and character meet-and-greets.

Disney has released a captivating concept image of the ride, showcasing Audio-Animatronics of young Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa enjoying a meal of grubs amidst a lush jungle environment. This scene is just one highlight of an adventure that will also include a thrilling 52-foot drop, slightly taller than the one in Tiana's Bayou Adventure. While an exact opening date hasn't been set, the ride will follow the debut of World of Frozen in 2026, contributing to the expansive transformation of Disney Adventure World, which will double the current park's footprint.

In addition to The Lion King ride, Disney Adventure World will introduce other exciting attractions, including the previously announced Raiponce Tangled Spin, where Mandy Moore will reprise her role as Rapunzel, and the first-ever Up-themed attraction—a spinning carousel offering breathtaking views of the park's scenery.

The grand opening of World Premiere on May 15, 2025, will mark the debut of a new park entrance designed to evoke the glamour of a Hollywood premiere. Adjacent to this, World Premiere Plaza will bring the spirit of Broadway and the West End to life, featuring theaters hosting spectacular shows like TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure, Mickey and the Magician, and Frozen: A Musical Invitation.
